At 12:30 PM:

Children, bring your favorite stuffed toy and favorite adults and discover a four-pawed war time hero!
“Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero” is an animated family film that will win over the hearts of children and adults. The story of a stray dog begins on the Connecticut fields of Yale University in 1917 where he hangs out watching the National Guard troops drill for battle. The clever dog learns the bugle calls and marching drills. Cpl. Robert Conroy becomes his buddy, names the dog “Stubby” and smuggles him aboard the ship that brought the troops “over there.” When the dog is discovered in France, the commanding officer allows him to stay after receiving a salute from the terrier!
Stubby is given a special uniform and his own gas mask. Stubby becomes an important part of the 102nd Infantry when he warns of gas attacks, finds wounded soldiers, and captures a German spy. He is promoted to Sergeant and becomes the first dog ranked in the U.S. Armed Forces. The story is told with sensitivity and humor and love between dog and man. It is suitable for very young children to share with adults. Be entertained and leave knowing about the men and dog who participated in World War I.
“Treats” for all.
